As a novice detailer and car enthusiast that is getting ready to open up my own detail shop I was looking for a place to get certified training. I found out about Detail King and started looking at reviews to their services and was impressed so I signed up for the Detail King 3 day craftsman course. Once in class I was extremely impressed with how much info was given about the business end of detailing. Nick Vacco and Paul Angell were very informative. Explaining various ways to grow your business, find clients, prospects you may want to steer away from, and a lot of other aspects of the business to set you up for success in this business.
The shop time was great for a hands on person like myself and all the instructors were very helpful with tips and techniques to make you the professional you are looking to become and left no question unanswered. If I had to critique anything it would be that I would have liked to compound a vehicle with very heavy oxidized paint to see what can truly be done by a good detailer. But we did make a black car with very heavy swirl marks and marring look like it had just been painted and a car with tan interior that was absolutely dingy and filthy look brand new inside.
I was truly impressed. So much I signed up for the Jade Ceramic course and can’t wait to be back in April. And if you are going there from out of state I recommend staying a few days to hang out in Pittsburgh as it is a beautiful city to visit with great views. I became Detail King Certified March 2019!
